Volumetric and Gravimetric Dosing Systems are
available for On-Machine Injection and Extrusion Processes of Plastics
& Chemicals .
Different blender models are available which
have been designed especially for feeding either blended bulk
materials or individual additives or polymers directly into
injection molding machines or plastics extrusion applications.
Depending on degree of desired automation ,four or six feeders can
easily grouped around an extruder inlet .Alternately Single station
feeders are also available.
A) Gravimetric Dosage Systems are available in
different capacities.
The gravimetric dosing systems are
constituted by equipments for dosing plastic materials e.g color
pellets, modifiers or free flowing additives by means of electronic
balances applied to dosage units; the morphology of these systems, in
general, can be different depending on the application and the type of
gravimetric dosing (sum in weight [batch], or loss in weight).
The technologies used for reading the processed material from the
gravimetric dosing unit, are of two types:
- loss in weight,
where each material to be dosed is individually and continuously
weighed.- Sum in weight, where the various materials to be dosed are
weighed into a unique balance in a sequentially way .
B) Volumetric Dosage Systems may be set for batch
or continuous processes and are available in different
capacities. They are equipment for dosing plastic materials realized by
means of dosage units with rotating screw; the morphology of these
systems, in general, can be different depending on the application and
the type of dosing technology (speed variation or time
variation).
The technology used for volumetric dosing units is
of two types:
speed variation technology, where each component
has available a dosage unit whose flow is determined by the speed of
rotation imparted to the metering screw.- Time variation technology,
where each dosage unit is operated at a fixed speed by the control
system for an interval of time necessary to the set dosage.
C) Small,Medium & Large Soundproof Granulators: A range of small and medium sized granulators with high performance are avialable. They are employed for a variety of small and medium-duty applications:from light to medium injection mouldingscraps, blow moulding and extrusion lines of pipes and profiles. Granulators designed for heavy duty and high capacity granulation due to their performance efficiency and versatility are particularly suitable to recover heavy extrusion purging, injection moulding scraps, as well as scraps from plates and film sheets.
We also coordinate and supply turnkey solutions for centralized vacuum conveying system which provides a reliable and clean transport of plastic material in granules. The vacuum pump assures high performance and does not require maintenance. An automatic safety filter protects the blower and the environment and allows central dust collection. The hopper loader cylinders are equipped with an automatic filter cleaning system after each loading cycle, an air detection valve and a sensor indicating maximum level of material. The electrical control panel is based on a PLC, which controls the loading processes and the no-load alarms of the hopper loaders.
Customised engineered solutions for Bulk Material Handling Equipment & special feeding solutions for very low feed rates, very high feed rates, and for multi-feeder blending are also available and you may directly contact us at info@technicalpolymers.in for further information or feeding solutions for your applications.
ANTIOXIDANTS
Antioxidants are used to retard the reaction of
organic materials such as synthetic polymers, with atmospheric oxygen.
Such reaction can cause degradation of the mechanical, aesthetic, and
electrical properties of polymers; loss of flavor and development of
rancidity in foods; and an increase in the viscosity, etc. Though
required in small amounts at any one time, they are absolutely
necessary, as without antioxidants, many products would not last very
long, and many plastics could not even be manufactured without their
protective attributes. Acting as stabilizers, they are also useful in
facilitating the production of fuel and lubricants.
We supply
antioxidants from IONOL ,Raschig in North India belonging to the
group of non-staining sterically hindered phenols which shows an
excellent stability at high temperature hence it does not show
discolouration & is non staining. Phenolic antioxidants are used
for stabilizing elastomers based on natural and synthetic latices and
rubbers, as well as ABS, PA, polyolefins, hot melts and lubricants and
has BfR and FDA approval.IONOL has also been recommended for use
under high temperature hot melt stabilizers and lubricants.
TITANIUM DIOXIDE- RUTILE & ANATASE
Titanium dioxide (TiO2 ) is the most widely used
white pigment because of its brightness and very high refractive
index, in which it is surpassed only by a few other materials. The
most important application areas are paints and varnishes as well as
paper and plastics, which account for about 80% of the world's
titanium dioxide consumption. Other pigment applications such as
printing inks, fibers, rubber, cosmetic products and foodstuffs
account for another 8%. The rest is used in other applications, for
instance the production of technical pure titanium, glass and glass
ceramics, electrical ceramics, catalysts, electric conductors and
chemical intermediates.
TiO2 is also an effective opacifier in
powder form, where it is employed as a pigment to provide whiteness
and opacity to products such
as paints, coatings, plastics, papers, inks, foods, medicines (i.e.
pills and tablets) as well as most toothpastes. In paint, it is often
referred to offhandedly as "the perfect white", "the
whitest white", or other similar terms. Opacity is improved by
optimal sizing of the titanium dioxide particles. Some grades of
titanium based pigments as used in sparkly paints, plastics, finishes
and pearlescent cosmetics are man-made pigments whose particles have
two or more layers of various oxides .
Rutile is the most
common natural form of TiO2. Another polymorph of TiO2 widely used is
Anatase.Rutile has among the highest refractive indices at visible
wavelengths of any known crystal, and also exhibits a particularly
large birefringence and highdispersion.
Multipurpose Rutile titanium dioxide for both interior &
exterior coatings is available with excellent balance of chalk
resistance,hiding,gloss,tint,physical property retention and
outstanding dispersion performance at economical prices for a broad
range of exterior & interior applications in paints & coatings
which require highest level of durability. The surface treatment with
special grades supplied also provide high level of UV radaiation
protection as strongly absorb radiation below 380nm.An additional
alumina treatment provides dry bulk conveying & better dispersability.
Grades recommended for interior decorative coatings, road
marking paint, window profiles, masterbatch, rubber, paper ,
Polymers, ceramics etc. are available. For further information and
technical specifications please contact us atinfo@technicalpolymers.in
Masterbatches : Technical Polymers Material offers
Master batch to Polymer Processors as a convenient ,economical and
uncomplicated method of adding desired colour and/or
performance enhancing additives to natural or base
polymers on their own plant. This technique of getting desired colour
or performance is adopted in the polymer industry as it gives a unique
combination of cost savings and technical benefits including reduced
inventory of compounds , reduction in cleaning costs & cross
contaminations, dust free environment, reduction of purging
costs, optimum dispersion and reliable colour and performance
properties in the final product.
Master-batch is a solid
concentrate of colour and/or performance enhancing additives such as
anti-static, UV stabiliser, metal deactivator, that is added to a base
polymer to impart these attributes. It is supplied in granular form,
either as pellets similar in size to most polymers or as miniature
pellets, known as micro granules.
Two main types of Master batches are offered - polymer specific and universal. Polymer specific master batch is produced using the same base polymer group as the type of polymer being used by the processor. Universal master batch employs a carrier system that is capable of carrying the high quantities of additives necessary to deliver the end use properties required as well as affording the essential compatibility required across a broad range of polymers. Universal master batches are normally readily available from stock, in small quantities and are cost effective if used correctly. They are not recommended for use at high dosage levels as the appearance or physical properties of the final product may be adversely affected. End application will always influence the type of master batch chosen. Toys and food packaging for example have to be produced from materials made with 'controlled' ingredients and engineering products will demand reliable high performance properties
Master batch can be introduced to the processors' base polymer or compound on the production line in a number of ways, the most successful methods being volumetric or gravimetric dosing. In both techniques, the master batch is added directly into the polymer stream immediately before processing. Volumetric dosing has the advantage of relatively low capital investment but requires calibrating every time the batch or colour is changed (depending on the bulk density of the material). Gravimetric dosing is extremely accurate, but plant is expensive.Dosages vary based on colour; wall thickness and opacity requirements .Master batch performance during processing is influenced by blending process and dosage level especially for transparent products.
Masterbatches are used during Injection moulding, blow moulding, profile extrusion, sheet extrusion, film extrusion, cast film, fibres and calendered sheet processes.
We offer a broad selection of standard or specialised/customised
traded masterbatch compounds based on:
• Thermoplastic

Engineering Plastics are a group
of polymeric materials that have better mechanical and/or thermal
properties than the more widely used commodity plastics .Being more
expensive, engineering plastics are produced in lower quantities and
tend to be used for smaller objects or low-volume applications (such
as mechanical parts), rather than for bulk and high-volume ends (like
containers and packaging).Engineering plastics have replaced
traditional engineering materials such as wood or metal in many
applications. Besides equalling or surpassing them in weight/strength
and other properties, engineering plastics are much easier to
manufacture, especially in complicated shapes.
Technical Polymers Material provides its customers
with a range of high performance engineering plastics designed for
the automotive, electrical & electronics,appliances,telecom,
sporting and building & construction industries. These products
provide high value-added functionalities (mechanical, chemical,
electrical and thermal performance, surface aspect) to industries
demanding high levels of innovation.
We have standard &
customised products across the entire spectrum of Engineering
Thermoplastics. We offer a broad selection of compounds designed to
offer alternatives to industry standard products and can develop
unique formulations designed for specific applications as needed.

We are constantly developing new compounds based on new / evolving
technologies to meet our customer’s needs. Our goal Is to understand
our customer’s end-use and processing requirements to produce the most
cost-effective material for their application.
Engineering
plastics can be used permanently at temperatures between 100°C and
150°C. Engineering plastics demonstrate good mechanical
characteristics, high dimensional stability, good chemical resistance
and resistance to wear.
